Gaming room

A slight variation on our studio range, the room will be used as a gaming room.

We have a strong emphasis on quality, it all starts from the ground, we installed galvanised steel ground screws (see description on the web page), 12 were installed on this particular project, they provide a solid base for our light gauge steel frame to sit on without the need for digging, soil removal or concrete pouring.

Once the steel frame was erected, the exterior is sheathed with OSB, breather membrane and battened off to receive the cladding.

We use RWA45 Rockwool to insulate floor, roof and walls, it provides excellent acoustic and thermal properties ideal to enjoy the room all year around, we apply a vapour control barrier before plasterboarding and finish with a skim plaster.

We fit aluminium doors and windows as they provide superior performance compared to plastic, timber and composite.

After all this ridiculous weather we have had I’m glad to see this one complete and indeed the sun is shining at last. ☀️

Our client will be sorting the landscaping work, so I’m looking forward to a visit when it is all complete.
